On May 15, 2024, Kenyan President William Ruto presided over the Kenya Defence Forces recruits pass-out parade at the Defense Forces Recruits Training School (DFRTS) in Uasin Gishu County.
New Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) recruits undergo a six-month training program that culminates in the pass-out parade.
Ruto led top military command and recruits in observing a minute of silence in honor of the late Chief of Defense Forces, General Francis Ogolla who passed away in an chopper crash, during the Pass Out Parade at the ‘Kenya Defence Forces Recruits’ Training School.
