Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has called out to the Kenyan President urging him to have mercy on the Kenyans by reducing the high cost of living and reconsidering his plan to tax Kenyans 3 % house levy.
Speaking through a video shared online, the Mumias East MP expressed his disappointment on the Kenya Kwanza leader and president for wanting to see the leaders who are not pushing the taxation motion in parliament, and instilling measures that are strangling Kenyans making it hard for them to survive.
“Huwezi kufinya wakenya…have mercy on Kenyans na usiforce wabunge.”
He went on adding that he cares less on what the president might think of him but his stand remains that he will not push the motion and advocate for residents to be taxed. He rather advised the president to consider doing more and more projects that will benefit all Kenyans the same way the former President Mwai Kibaki used to.
According to the Mumias East MP he is living the now and that’s what matters as tomorrow is not guaranteed and nobody will make him change his stand from allying with azimio team lead by Raila amollo Odinga.
This is a motion that has been trending lately and a lot of people have shared their disappointment on this saying that it is not necessarily. The president however responded saying that it is part of his manifesto to make Kenya work as everybody should participate in it without hesitation.
