Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has advised Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja from dismissing psvs from the Central Business District.
Speaking at Nyeri Open Market he insisted that kicking the matatus out of the city will not be the right thing because its like despising the people that voted him in.
He then assured Residents that he will see the Governor so that they discuss the details before he makes any rush decision.
“We don’t want to do things in a hurry. That matter of kicking matatus out should not happen. We don’t want to hurt business.”
There is an already filed case in court opposing the Governor’s decision to kick matatus out of the CBD by the Saccos. And until the case is confirmed, the matatus will still operate from the central business district in Nairobi.
