Kenyan artist Frasha has explained why he does not like disclosing the amount he makes from music.
Speaking to our own journalist Silvakido, Frasha said he doesn’t like being asked that question because it makes him uncomfortable simply because music is more than money.
“When people ask me about money, what do they mean? For me, money is a sense of gratification.
When someone asks me how much I make from music, naskianga, that’s a very uncomfortable question because music is more than money; the sense of gratification to me from music cannot be equated to money.” Frasha said.
He, however, said he doesn’t mind fans singing his name, as that is what you’d expect from being creative, and what that actually does is motivate him because then he sees people recognize his talent.
“Napenda kuona mtu akiimba lyrics zangu. Frashaaaaa ni mkali…. Hakuna kitu nataka aty nilipwe fan akiimba hivo siitaji hiyo pesa. For me, I am a creative, and for a creative, it goes way above money.” Frasha shared.
