Former Machakos county first lady, Lilian Ngángá has launched her new book titled ‘Madam First lady’.
The mother of one took to her Instagram to announce the exiting news, “It was a pleasure last month to be part of Columbia Global Centre’s “Nairobi African Book Talk Series” discussing #Madamfirstladymemoir. It’s surreal. I am an author.” While also encouraging people to tell their story because everyone has one and hinted that another book was underway, “Never conclude that you have no story to tell. Your life is your story. Tell it buddy. Next book loading….”
In February this year she unveiled a mini memoir book and said it would talk about her experience being in the limelight, her achievements as a County First Lady and her stepping down, “When my significant no #2 aligns, I am delighted to give you a sneak peek of something special I have been working on for the last two months…#MadamFirstLady! This mini-memoir that I cherish is a book about owning my story, taking control of the narrative and telling my truth. From being catapulted into the limelight amidst a lot of chatter, to achieving a lot under the County First Lady’s Office to the eventual “stepping down” from the position…From my heart to yours! Fancy a copy, another copy for your friends and family? Your book club? Stay tuned!”
