Fathermoh Shares The Reason Why Bahati is Irrelevant

Published on

Kenyan youngster Gengetone, artist Moses Otieno, famously known for his stage name, Fathermoh, has shared his opinion about Kenyan Gospel artist Bahati.

Speaking in an interview with one of our own Betty, he said that Bahati is so centric and has no right whatsoever to talk about the Kenyan music industry, especially when it comes to advising young upcoming artists.

“Bahati has never given a collaboration to a fellow artist in Kenya; hujawahi pata someone featuring Bahati.”

Adding that Bahati is one of those artists who is very judgmental when it comes to choosing the artists he works with in the sense that he discriminates against the young, upcoming ones by not wanting to do a collaboration with them because he feels they will add no impact to his track, hence the reason he looks irrelevant to him and many others who support this.

He also talked about the crumbling of the Mbuzi Gang, saying that the reason the three-man squad decided to part ways was because it was more comfortable working alone than as a group.

“Working alone is better than working in a group. Tumekua na hiyo struggle for a long time.”

According to Fathermoh, working alone is more preferable to him than working in a group because, working alone, you can control yourself and own your mistakes, unlike in a group. Adding that they used to disagree in quite a number of incidents, they now opt for each other to work on their personal solo projects.

Asked about his relationship with Kenyan artist Ssaru, he responded, saying that he’s always with Ssaru because they are work partners in terms of music and nothing more.

“Me and Ssaru, by the way, azin siwezi muona hivo. The only time we meet is ni job, so hakuna time ya hiyo kitu mnadhani. We are just business partners.”

He praised Ssaru, saying that she’s very easy to work with because she’s determined and committed to working with the artists she collaborates with adding that she even gives the artist the freedom to add whatever they want to.
