A former inmate speaker by the name Ndrendende has opened up, revealing how people used to smuggle phones into prison.
Speaking during an interview with Obinna Show live, Ndrendende said that there are a number of ways prisoners used to use to smuggle phones into prison despite the law not allowing it.
According to Ndrendende, phones could be smuggled with the help of police wardens as well as giving inmates who were being taken to court trials something he said they used to describe them as ‘Tax.’
“Kila kitu hakukosangi shimo, unaeza patia karao dooh akuingizie, Kuna wafungwa tunaitanga ‘Ma Taxi’ wanaeza enda courtini wakuletee.” Ndrendende disclosed.
Ndrendende explained further that it is actually not a good thing being an inmate, as life on the inside is way harder and more complicated than one can ever imagine.
He shed light on the mental anguish prisoners face, especially if it happens that an inmate is not on good terms with a police warden. According to Ndrendende, you are locked in the same cell with ‘Onyancha,’ a man who is believed to have eaten and drunk the blood of 75 people—something that many people find very disturbing and uncomfortable because they don’t know what might happen next.
