Eric Omondi urges President William Ruto to make history by appointing the unemployed Graduants

Political activist and comedian Eric Omondi advised the president to continue listening to the people after he fired the cabinet secretary.

His remarks come after president Ruto dissolved his entire Cabinet and Attorney General on Thursday.

Eric Omondi stated that the president was on the right track after choosing to listen to the people instead of his inner circle.

“Mr. President, you have stopped listening to your people, and now you are listening to the people, and the voice of the people is the voice of God.“ Said Eric Omondi.

He went on to say that the president would make history if he appointed the likes of Mama Mboga and Boda Boda workers as cabinet secretaries because some of them are graduates.

“What I would urge the president to do is make history; the first thing he should do is appoint either as CS ama PS atafute mama mboga Mmoja na boda boda Mmoja, because most of these boda boda guys have degrees.”

He called on Ruto to change the narrative where appointments to cabinet positions were based on rewarding loyalty depicted during elections, friendships, and political affiliations.

Eric said that President Ruto is indebted to Mama Mboga and Boda Boda Rider, whom he specifically made a promise to during his campaign manifesto, ‘bottom-up’.

Eric says President Ruto is not the problem.

The father of one went on to say that the president was not the problem, but the people around him were.

“Shida sio Ruto, the problem is the people surrounding him.”

Eric went on to say that the president had shown the qualities of a great leader after listening to the voice of the people. Therefore, he urged that from then on, he himself would listen to the president, assuring Kenyans that things would get better.
