Eric Omondi has been arrested together with his bodyguards and are in police custody in the Central Police station in Nairobi.
The Self Proclaimed President of Comedy had staged a protest complaining about the high cost of living and hiked prices.
He was outside parliament with his Bodyguards lined up shirtless, chanting “Bado mapambano” when things took a turn on him.
They were there for over 20 minutes blocking the road as they were lined facing the parliament gate with boards written “Unga Juu Mafuta Juu”
Police men arrived, throwing tear gases at the protesters as officers held Eric Omondi and escorted him into a Land Rover Pickup.
This follows a video Eric Omondi had done saying how Kenyans specifically speaking for the youths where he said that they are suffering because they can’t be able to meet their needs at the end of the day because of the high cost of living and unemployment.
He promised Kenyans that there will be a change of how things are running, and it turns out he went out there to live his word.
“We are going to break free from the chains of slavery. Political, economic slavery and brainwashing. Get ready to break your shackles.”
This is the second protest Eric is holding after having held one back in August 2022 demanding 75% of Kenyan Content to be played just outside parliament where he sat there in a cage held by his Bodyguards the whole day only to be attended to late in the evening.
