Comedian Eric Omondi was among the pioneers of anti-government protests. The jester, having been in the entertainment industry for over 17 years, decided that he would help to fight corrupt leaders in the government and help needy Kenyans.
Eric’s zeal has been expedited by the fact that Kenyans also supported him during his time as a comedian.
He claimed that the only way he would return the favour was to help them in fighting corrupt leaders.
Recently, the anti-finance bill protests bore fruit. Even though Eric Omondi’s absence was conspicuous, the Gen Z’s represented him well as he urged them to fight on. Unfortunately, it was during this period that Eric lost his blood brother Fred Omondi in a road accident.
Eric Omondi’s next target
The demonstrations proved to be a success! But Eric Omondi is not done with the government.
Speaking in a recent interview, Eric Omondi calibrated that he’s now ready to go after members of parliament who voted ‘yes’ to the finance bill.
”I want to promise you, every member of parliament who voted ‘yes’ we have their photos, we have their names, we have their constituencies. We are going to circulate their names. We will sing them like the national anthem.”
Eric made the promise to remind Kenyans about these MPs and make sure that they are not voted for after IEBC makes reforms.
”Wale walivote yes hawatafika 2027, tutawarecall wote. Kwanza hao waliapologize ndio tunaanza nao,” Eric promised.
The comments also suggested that a good number of people are in support of Eric Omondi’s sentiments.
