Ena Coach CEO Richard Mogire has released a statement ahead of their Ena Coach bus that burst into flames along the Narok-Mai Mahu Highway earlier this morning, explaining the traumatizing incident that occurred at 2 a.m.
According to their CEO, the bus that was heading to Migori from Nairobi experienced a front tire burst while ascending the hill after Suswa, and after a while it burst into flames. Luckily enough, another team was dispatched to the ground and was able to rescue the passengers and put them on another bus that saw them arrive at their destination.
“At approximately 2 a.m. this morning, while en route from Nairobi to Migori with 48 passengers on board, our bus experienced a front tire burst while ascending the hill after Suswa. Our experienced driver promptly stopped the bus to assess the situation, only to discover that the bus had caught fire.
Upon discovering the fire, our vigilant crew members acted quickly and efficiently, ensuring the safe evacuation of all passengers from the burning bus. We are relieved to inform you that no casualties or injuries were reported during this incident.”
He assured the public that nobody was harmed or injured in the process and thanked the team for cooperating with others to ensure that the situation was neutralized.
He then concluded by apologizing for the shortcomings and any other inconveniences that the incident may have caused and assuring the public that they are looking into the matter to discover the cause of the fire so that they can prevent such an act from happening again in the future, including training their staff.
