Comedian Eric Omondi is expressing his passion for fighting for needy Kenyans. For several months now, the jester has not only been voicing out his desire to help Kenyans, but he has also been on the frontline of physically showing up to assist the poor.
Through his ‘sisi kwa sisi’ foundation, Eric has been able to reach out to the less fortunate and offer them a second chance by giving out basics to them. For this, he has been celebrated by numerous fans far and wide.
Eric’s resilience
Apart from the latter, Eric has also taken to the streets a couple of times to stage demonstrations against the high cost of living. He has been arrested on several occasions but it doesn’t seem to bother him at all.
Recently, he staged a demonstration outside parliament with ‘mama mboga’ to fight against passing of the financial bill. He was shortly arrested by the nearby police officers, but released shortly then.

Why the passion?
In a recent interview on Citizen TV, Eric Omondi calibrated his zeal for fighting for Kenyans.
I have been a comedian for 17 years. I asked myself what have I ever done to give back to Kenyans? Kenyans have attended my shows and bought my products. The best thing I can ever give back to Kenyans is my voice, to speak for the voiceless- Eric Omondi stated.
He further called out President William Ruto and requested him to fulfill his promise of uplifting needy Kenyans.
