Eric Omondi, The president of comedy, went on a 3-day live tour in Egypt mainly to have a show with all African countries included.
On Buzz with the Stars on SPM BUZZ, he clearly states out his line up and states out the events that will take place in Egypt.
He arrives in Cairo for the very first time as he says where he is happily received by fans who couldn’t hide their joy upon his arrival. He later paid a visit to the Kenyan Ambassador in Egypt.who couldn’t hide their joy upon seeing him.
During his opening talk he commented on his Balenciaga look which he said, that it was a historical moment which needed to be highly represented by putting on a standing out outfit.
He met up with the rest of the team which included various artists, comedians, DJs who fully represented the East African fraternity.
Later on his trip he visited the Egypt pyramids and River Nile which are known to be great historical sites all over the world.
Eric Omondi sold Kenyan music in Egypt where the places he visited, actually he made sure they were playing Kenyan music among them was “Mbwembwe” by Sautisol.
On his trip he commented on the new trend where most musicians were joining politics where he said he doesn’t support artists joining politics as this acted as a downfall to the Kenyan industry.
On one of the questions posed to him about him running for a seat,
“No I don’t recommend, and I don’t support artists going into politics, they can participate, but artists ought not to forget about their calling,” he said.
He said that Egypt was a good experience, and he mentioned loving the roads and though the weather was tough, he enjoyed the stay.
