Dr. Ofweneke mocks Eric Omondi for helping victims affected by Nairobi Floods (Video)

Published on

Comedian Eric Omondi has for the past few days been among the few people who have helped the victims of the ongoing floods in the country.

The jester has been on the frontline when it comes to helping needy Kenyans.

Eric came up with a foundation monikered ‘sisi kwa sisi’ where he requests netizens to contribute and uplift the needy ones.

For the latter reason, Eric has been hailed as a hero; with some admonishing him to run for a political seat in the upcoming elections in 2027.

In Eric’s recent video posted on his Instagram, the comedian was seen literally rowing a boat to help some people who camped on top of their roofs to avoid being swept away at Athi River.

The Government of Kenya should RUSH to MANGELI ATHI RIVER BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!.DISASTER IS ABOUT TO STRIKE!!! There are Families stuck on the Roof tops and time is Ticking…We have Saved 34 people Today from 8:30am to 11am and there are still Hundreds Stuck with Children and Disaster could Strike ANYTIME!!! Last night we saved a Woman and 3 of her Children in Ruiru’s OJ region. OUR PRIORITIES ARE UPSIDE DOWN!!!!. THIS GOVERNMENT ONLY CARES FOR ITSELF. NOW they are DISCUSSING PRESIDENTIAL TIME LIMITS AND APPOINTMENTS OF CAs while PEOPLE ARE DYING. SISI KWA SISI WILL STAND IN THE GAP,” angry Eric wrote.

Ofweneke’s remarks

With that being said, it’s important to note that people will have their sentiments, whether you do the right thing or not.

His fellow jester, Dr. Ofweneke, has now shared what he thinks about Eric Omondi’s recent heroic act, where he was seen helping victims of floods in Athi river.

Ofweneke mocked Eric in a recent video; stating that he has left a small child at home yet he’s out there helping people. After seeing him row a boat, he added that Eric has now become a captain of a ship (Jack Sparrow) instead of being a comedian.

”Eric Omondi has thrown himself into the world of philanthropy… He is literally ferrying people. Amewacha comedy. Ona sasa? Huyu ndio Jack Sparrow. Huyu ni mtu akona bibi na mtoto wanamgojea nyumbani. Huyu ni mtu ata mtoto wake hajamea… I want to apologize to one lady by the name Lynne.”
