Kenyan Comedian and self Proclaimed President of Comedy, Eric Omondi, has called out to the Kenyan Government urging them to not tax the poor, describing it as theft.

Speaking to the press at the Kenya National Theatre, he said that they should consider leaving taxing the content creators as they work so hard for what they have.

“Don’t tax the Kenyan Content Creators, that’s theft.”

He also defended the poor and the online media channels, saying that they too should be spared rather tax the rich.

He gave a practical example of how they are struggling to survive, saying that it would be inappropriate to tax them 15%.

He even threatened to offer himself and other loyal youths to sacrifice themselves so that the rest can live well and life to be less expensive.

Called out to the current President saying that he hasn’t lived to his word just as he had promised when he was campaigning.

“William Samoei Ruto, Ulijiita hustler ukasema ukiingia serikali itakua ya hustler ya bodaboda….these people don’t have employment wakiwa university hamukuwapatia helb wakifungiwa nyumba hamko.

Do you know the struggles these Content creators go through.”

Eric said that if the Government wanted to badly tax them, then it should start by supporting them by buying what they use in creating content and then maybe they can agree on a common figure or amount.

This is not the first time Eric is fighting for Kenyans, having even demonstrated on the high cost of living and increased unemployment in the Country.
