Dj Shiti Reveals the Reason Why Having Many Followers isn’t Important

Kenyan comedian and actor Dj Shiti has revealed the reason why having many followers doesn’t help.

Speaking in an interview, he said that people should stop judging people based on what they see on their pages, especially the followers. He said that the reason why having many followers doesn’t help is because the majority of them lack mentors, and they built their relationships out of the pictures they post online.

According to him, putting in the work and consistency is what should be embraced, encouraging people to not feel worried that they don’t have a huge number of followers as the work they are doing will speak for them because having followers is one thing and showing what you’ve done is another. He encourages people to concentrate on working on their own individual brands rather than focusing on getting followers, which won’t help them.

He added that followers have no impact, and what speaks is the work that the content creators have done, and the online ones rarely do that because they lack mentors.

“Following ya mtandao haina impact, impact ni ya kazi watu wamefanya.”

He also addressed what he had said about Mercy, the lady who called out Uasin Gishu leaders, telling them to own up to their words and keep their promises.

Dj Shiti had told Mercy to accept the job opportunity that was handed to her by Narok’s senator, Ole Kina, saying that his intentions were clear because she could’ve just accepted the job and not tried so hard fighting for people, something he said can’t be possible until she establishes herself first because that’s the only thing that will see the success of her fight for people because she would’ve had a voice.

“Hata kama unapigania watu first ni vizuri ujikumbuke kwa sababu maandiko yana sema mpende jirani yako kama vile unajipenda wewe mwenyewe.

Sasa usifuate watu… Usipiganie Watu as much as Unapigania Watu Jikumbuke.”

According to Dj Shiti, Mercy should’ve accepted Ole Kina’s job opportunity so that she could build her brand under him and be in a position later on to air her voice and fight for people. He also condemned the Uasin Gishu act that was done by leaders, urging them to do what’s right.
