Mixxmasters entertainment Dj Kalonje has threatened to sue media personality and YouTuber Oga Obinna over what he claims to be defaming statements the YouTube host made on his popular YouTube channel.
Kalonje claims that the remarks, made during a recent episode of Obinna TV Extra, have damaged his reputation.
Taking to his Instagram page, DJ Kalonje expressed his frustration, accusing Obinna of slander, blatant unprofessionalism, and attempting to tarnish his brand for the sake of garnering views and likes.
“It is truly baffling to me how I ended up being dragged into someone else’s interview, let alone why anyone would attempt to tarnish my name and brand for the sake of a few fleeting views and likes,” Kalonje wrote.
DJ Kalonje further emphasized that he has spent years building his reputation and would not tolerate any actions that undermine his professional integrity.
“My brand is something I take with the utmost seriousness, and I refuse to entertain any form of defamation, whether it’s intended as a joke or not. Your complete disregard for others when you recklessly spew harmful statements about someone else’s brand is not only appalling but utterly irresponsible.”

In response to Obinna’s statements, Kalonje sent a formal demand letter, outlining the potential legal consequences should the YouTuber fail to comply. According to the letter, Kalonje accuses Obinna of falsely claiming that he lacks the ability to perform live mixes for a live audience.
The letter asserts: “On 19th August 2024, you posted a video on your YouTube channel, Obinna TV Extra, where you falsely stated that the director of our client one, DJ Kalonje, cannot play live mixes, despite the same not being true.” Part of the statement read
Kalonje argues that these statements defame his character and pose a threat to his business by potentially affecting future bookings. He has demanded a public apology from Obinna within seven days, warning that failure to comply will lead to legal action.
