The reject finance bill demonstrations has seen numerous youths turn up to fight against the passing of the bill.
While the city’s capital remains a little calm than expected, other parts of the country have joined the protests.
On Thursday morning, hundreds of youths in Eldoret marched through the streets in protest of the Finance Bill 2024. Many carried placards urging Members of Parliament to reject the Bill.

In anticipation of the protests, anti-riot police were deployed at designated assembly points across Eldoret. By 8 am, armed officers were stationed at key locations, including Zion Mall, Uganda Road, and the Kisumu Road junction.
Other counties that participated in the protests include Kisumu, Kakamega, Eldoret, Kilifi, Nakuru, Nyeri, Nanyuki and Isiolo. Police are making desperate attempts to quell demonstrations in various other parts of the country.
