Several celebrities showed up to reject the finance bill at the CBD yesterday in the City’s capital.
Those who stood out in the protests include Nyashinski, Thee Pluto, Abel Mutua, Azziad Nasenya, Willis Raburu, among others.
The demonstrations proved to be unsuccessful after the bill was passed by several members of parliament. 204 of them voted to support the bill while 105 of them voted against it.
Some celebrities were late to give their opinion on the latter, including Diana Marua.
“Allow me to say #RejectTheFinanceBill before you come at me guns blazing. Anyway, I’m humble enough to know that I can be replaced, but wise enough to know that there’s nobody else like me,” she wrote as she flaunted her fashion sense.
Diana Marua, popular YouTuber and wife to Bahati, was tardy to give her view on the finance bill, after netizens had already shared their views.
She shared her sentiments via Instagram; where she sympathized with Eric Omondi’s loss.
”l didn’t want to share this because this is not a time to look weak or look for Sympathy. It is fair to let you know that we are together in this regardless of any circumstances. The last one week I haven’t been doing well health wise. Despite standing with my fellow youths on #RejectTheFinanceBill2024 on All My Digital platforms; I would have loved to be on the streets in person. I’m still on medication and I’m looking forward to be with you on the streets this coming Tuesday & Thursday, God willing. We will not allow the President to pass this Punitive Bill aimed at oppressing Kenyans! In the meantime, najikaza I head to Carnivore to Contribute for our Brother, Fred Omondi as We look forward to giving him a descent sendoff 🙏,” she wrote.
