Ian Njoroge, the motorist who recently assaulted a traffic police officer in Mirema, offered some insight into his actions during questioning by officers.
Following his arrest in Nairobi, videos circulating on social media shows a handcuffed Njoroge answering questions. When asked about his background, he identified his parents and stated he had no prior training in violence.

The conversation then shifted to the assault. An officer directly inquired, “Where did you learn to hit an officer?” to which Njoroge responded;
“I’ve never done this before. Today was the first time.”
The officers pressed further, seeking to understand his motivation. One officer phrased it as a question about courage: “Where did you get the nerve to hit a police officer?”
Njoroge’s explanation centered on frustration.
“I was just angry. We weren’t seeing eye to eye because he wanted a lot of money I couldn’t afford…” The officer interrupted, questioning the validity of his claim.
The exchange took a peculiar turn when the officer instructed Njoroge to insult himself.
”Sema wewe ni mbwa,” the officer forcefully told Ian.
He co-operated and insulted himself. The video ends as the two converse. Fans reacted differently to Njoroge’s actions. Some have supported him while others called him out for beating up the officer. Njoroge’s fate is yet to be discussed. He was finally arrested while hiding at his girlfriend’s house.
