Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie (KJ) is mourning the death of his father David Waweru who happened to be a former MP of Kandara as well.

The Mp took to his social media page to announce the heartbreaking news, saying that a legend has rested.

“The Lion has rested. Dark, dark hour… As the 3 o’clock late afternoon sun battled with a stubborn dark cloud, for superiority in the skies, a stubborn dark cancer struck a final mortal blow. Death is so final, it is unbelievable.”

The Mp went on sharing a bible verse that refers to King David in the bible, (Acts13:36) saying that he served his purpose and was time to rest with his ancestors. In this context he refers to His father as King David, having lived a great life and achieved many, his time to rest has finally come in.

The late David Waweru served as the 4th Member of Parliament for Kandara from the year 1963.

John has described his father as a resilient and determined person having contested for presidency time and time over again and didn’t make it to be elected, he still kept going on even after trying more than 2 times.
