Daddy Owen has clarified that he wasn’t exactly looking for a wife after the took social media by storm last week by revealing he was in search of a village girl to marry and that people had misquoted him.
Talking to SPM Buzz’s Silva Kido, he explained that he said when he was ready those were the qualities he would look for in a lady, “I want to make it very clear, Kido wewe ni mtu wangu unanijua vizuri sana. Mimi nilipigiwa simu nikaulizwa interview. Nikaulizwa Daddy Owen mambo vipi nikasema poa, nikaulizwa mambo ya muziki lakini mwishowe nikaulizwa pale, Daddy Owen are you seeing someone? Nikasema no am not seeing someone. So are you single nikasema yeah am single. So akaniulizaje are you planning to date anytime soon? Nikamwambia at the moment am so busy am not even thinking about it alafu nikaulizwa na je when you decide you want to date when, the key word is when what is your preference, what kind of a lady are you looking for? Nikawaaambia when the time comes I will look for a God-fearing woman, a woman who has been brought up in the village and of course preferably dark- skinned.“ Adding that the media quoted him right but people transalated him how they wanted to, “So from there interview, by the way ata siwezi blame media. Media waliitoa venye niliisema lakini sasa watu kwenye mitandao wakabadilisha wakasema sasa haya Daddy Owen is desperate looking for a woman anyone who wants to apply let them apply and then number three wakasema Daddy Owen anatafuta kienyeji,” clarifying that there is no where he said he was looking for a woman and decided not to go online and defend himself because it would have only fueled the fire.
He also said that when he’s randomly walking, girls are shoting shots at him, “ata nikipita mahali watu wananiambia Daady Owen mimi ni kienyeji Daddy Owen kuja! Ata wakinipata kwa shop. Sasa you know I can’t complain about it because there is nothing wrong I’ve done or they have done it’s just a situation.” Adding that the response from people has been too much,“Applications zimenioverwhelm zimenipiga by surprise.”
