Speaking during a brief interview with Obinna, Corazon said that it was because she was being ‘sexually harassed’.
According to her, these requests came from individuals she worked with, creating a hostile and uncomfortable atmosphere that undermined her ability to perform her duties.
“It is not something that I really like; there are just things that pushed me towards not practicing; it is actually a problem that many curvy girls face…everwhere I got a job…
Napata kazi mahali, and then the boss, director, wote wanataka kunikatia… Friday simu inapigwa… so I had that experience like three times in places I have worked, and then I was like, That’s it.” Corazon shared.
Corazon explained further that it is this very inappropriate behavior that made it impossible for her to continue working.
Despite her efforts to maintain professionalism and set boundaries, the persistent nature of these advances made it increasingly difficult for her to continue in her role as a lawyer. This toxic environment ultimately led her to make the difficult decision to put the profession on pause and seek other avenues for her career, prioritizing her personal well-being and integrity.
“I don’t take favors..ama, I don’t exchange sex for favors. I don’t exchange myself for whatever. I really despise, so after it happened to me two or three times,
I was like, Sasa, since everybody was… I was like, Wacha niende nipige picha, after the picture I trended, and by then we were looking up to Kina Vera. And you see, they’re living a good life, and I was like, Let’s give it a try.” Corazon said:
