Sabato Sauti ya ground has warned upcoming artists against working with the likes of Mejja, Breeder and Maandy since they are milking them dry whenever they jump on a hit song for remixes.
According to the TikToker, these three artists are well known for rushing artists to remix a song since they have nothing to offer from their end. Sabato went on to give an example of Gbag na jug hit maker, Stoopid boy who rarely gets invites to perform at events….yet Mejja gets to perform the same remixed song at events and gets paid for it.
To him this is robbery of content from older artist who seems to understand the entertainment industry better, hence leaving the upcoming artist struggling to make money out of his original song.
Sabato went on to add that so far the three artists have not dropped hits in years and to survive, they overshadow these younger artists by offering ‘fame’ and pocket change allowance.
Looking at the comments left under his post, it appears Netizens also feel the same way about older artists using the new generation rappers and singers to remain relevant.
Others went as far as pleading with the younger artists to avoid giving remixes and instead use their talents to establish a better market….or better collaborate with artists from other countries if they really want to spread their wings further.
