Kenyan Popular Pastor Ezekiel Odero has been arrested today while he was conducting an indoctrination ceremony at Killfi County.
The pastor has been suspected of being linked with the Kilifi Shakahola deaths that were lead by their reverend Pastor Paul Mackenzie.
Her wife Sarah took over the podium immediately the husband was apprehended by the policemen. She urged the congregants to remain calm as the Government are just doing their work ensuring that leaders who are not preaching the gospel and confiding in other unreligious acts and beliefs with their members are stopped.
She also assured the public that they will resume their services very soon and there’s nothing to worry about.
“There are investigations that the government is conducting. Nothing is wrong, but we will not have our services for the next few days. I know you have heard many things on social media and TV, and this is happening to New Life and other churches, too.
Only prayers can help us now as we let the government do its investigations. There is nothing hard before God. He who has faith will have God as their defender”
The leader who runs the healing and deliverance New Life church has a lot of followers some testifying that his miracles are real and have worked on them before.
Pastor Ezekiel is also very popular, well connected and known by politicians who support his work including the first lady of the Deputy President of Kenya Pastor dorcas Gachagua, among many others. He also has his church in some of the social media platforms, some being facebook where he has more than 200,000 followers, and even a website of its own.
His arrest has been confirmed by coastal Regional commissioner Rhoda Onyancha that he is under police custody at the moment and will face trial at the Mombasa law courts.
“Ezekiel has been arrested at his Mavueni church in killifi on allegations of deaths reported at his premises and initial investigations have revealed that various morgues across the coastal region have received bodies from his premises”
He is being investigated by the DCI detectives who believe that he was involved with releasing patients from hospitals to join his dominion.
His church has been closed indefinitely and his followers together with the public are awaiting for the final verdict from the court.
