The film is set to be released on the 23rd of July.
Phil it TV’s Click click bang, braces our screens being the newest film in town which features Abel Mutua alias Mkurugenzi where he narrates his own true story based on his ‘young & stupid’ YouTube episodes.
The film was premiered this weekend at the Nairobi cinema following its success, bringing in 2.5 million Kenyan shillings as stated in their press release
The directors are the ex- Tahidi high actor Philip Karanja and Daniel Munyoki.
The film features an awesome cast of some of Kenya’s top actors and actresses among them; Isaboke Nyakundi, Jacky Vike, Shigwan Shiqo, Basil Mungai, Idah Alisha, Amina Hussein, Dennis Mugo and Kenya’s top rapper Khaligraph Jones.
The film is a story featuring a super talented footballer whose dream crushes down upon which he joins the criminal world which comes bearing challenges resulting to his loss.
It tells the story of Kev who is an orphan and a talented footballer who has a sick sister to take care of. He relies on his dream of being the best footballer but his dream crushes and is left with no choice but to engage in crime.
Speaking to SPMBUZZ during the film’s premiere, Director Phil commented on his expectations being his second film after Grand Little Lie (GLL) saying that he is aspiring to build an awesome culture in the film industry.
“It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, we’re building a film culture in Kenya,” continued Phil, “We are bringing in the eastlando culture.”
Basil Mungai who took the lead role spoke out honouring the opportunity being that it was his first time to scoop as the lead adding that it was something g he had long prayed for and finally.
The film has brought it excitement and Kenyans can’t wait to have the whole full movie as soon as its out.
