Kenyan comedian Chipukeezy shares the reasons why he decided to work with KBC Television.

Chipukeezy

Speaking in an interview with one of our very own hosts, Betty, right before his show, he said that it is the home of talent that has produced great artists.

According to Chipukeezy, he chose to roll with it so that he is assured he is on a stable platform that can reach a wide variety of people. Adding that it is a company that wants to monetize talents, unlike other stations,

Chipukeezy also hinted that he wants to take advantage of the opportunity that has been presented by the government to push talents through KBC.

He also said that by working with it, he wants to be a part of the success that’s to come later on in life.

Another important aspect he mentioned is that it is a channel that is very much available to everyone, unlike other channels that have to be subscribed for; hence, he would have assured his audience that they will always consume him without paying for extras.

Chipukeezy opted to do that because of the research he had done after realizing that many people love following up on the local channels more often than the subscribed ones.

“Nilienda Ushago juzi nikapata wasee wantumia mulika mwizi… Niko hapo ushago napatana na struggles naona shosho yangu yeye anawatch tuh KBC.

The real fans are our people—wale wako lamu, all these other spaces—they can easily watch us there. There are the industry people, and then there are the people who support us. Those are our target people na tunajua wanareasonate vizuri na KBC, that’s why.”

The new Chipukeezy show will be airing every Monday from 8 to 9 p.m., adding that they will also announce when it will be aired in Y254 after it has been shown in KBC.

His inspiration comes from the one person that they can reach out to so that they bring the best out of him. He believes that he can be able to help out the many who don’t have a voice and come out so that their talents and skills can be seen.
