Charlene was addressing a gathering marketing the Kenyan tourism sector and the country at large when she urged the public and foreigners to consider visiting her birth country, Kenya, because it is the only state that has ‘Swimming Lions.’ Yes, you heard it right! Charlene claims that lions in Kenya can actually swim and not drown.
“I want to welcome all of you to come to Kenya; we have beautiful beaches, we are the only country where our national park is in the capital city, and we have swimming lions, so come and experience it for yourself.” Charlene said:

It turns out her father, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, who is the current president of Kenya, made the exact same statement a while back when he addressed guests at the World Safari Rally event held in Naivasha, where he talked about the beautiful scenery and natural phenomenal Mother Nature had bestowed on Kenya, particularly in Lamu.
“If you want to see swimming lions, how many of you have seen a lion swimming? Go to Lamu; there’s a sport in Lamu where lions swim.” President Ruto shared as while back.
