Charlene Ruto defends her dad – President Ruto over Finance Bill 2024

Charlene Ruto has released a statement via her X account urging the youth to give the president benefit of a doubt as she believes he has the Kenya’s best interests at heart.

According to Charlene, she president Ruto has over 30 years of experience in politics which makes him a good candidate in leading and making the best decisions for the country.

As a president’s daughter, I have no doubt in my mind, watching my father rise in politics for over 30 years, seeing his work and passion behind the scenes, that he truthfully holds the best interests of Kenya at heart. Read part of her Tweet.

The first daughter went on to sympathize with Kenyans saying she understands the concerns the youths have with the Finance Bill 2024.

However this to her has also proven that the youths are UpToDate with current affairs, something she applauded them for.

As a youth champion. I hear the cry of this generation and give my kudos that we are not only care about current affairs, but have a stand and are willing to raise our concerns. This is a gamechanger. Let’s do it consistently, in an informed manner, with respect and honour. This is how we will be heard. She went on.

Reactions

Well seeing that she is part of those supporting the Bill, netizens on her comment section did not receive her message as positively as she would have expected.

As seen, many bashed her with some saying the apple doesn’t fall from the tree hence the reason they choose to sideline her.
