Cabinet Secretary in Charge of Defense Aden Duale has confidently said that he is ready to step down if the President says so.
Speaking during an interview with Jeff Koinange, Aden Duale said that if the president feels that he is not delivering as he expects him to, he should not think twice about telling him to step down.
“If the President feels I’ve let him down as a minister for defense, I want him to do the right thing, not only with me and all the rest who have let him down, but in the interest of the people of Kenya, and tell us to step aside. I will have a new team. I am ready. Look at me. Quote me.” Aden Duale said.
He goes on to suggest that the president should sit down and decide who he wants to keep and who to drop.
“Anybody he feels is baggage and wants him to come off the bus he is driving, he should do it, including Aden Duale.” He said.
This is after the president revealed on Sunday that he felt let down by his cabinet secretaries and communication team.
The Kenyan President is going through a tough time as he is now trying to run a country, whereas he is also supposed to maintain the chaos that are currently happening countrywide, with the public demonstrating wanting him to step down.
