Nigerian Artist, Burna Boy, has decided to open up as to why he is not usually interested about their Country’s presidential elections.
He said that for him, he doesn’t have a candidate in mind that he believes in and the fact he doesn’t want to be a bad role model to people is the prime reason why he isn’t vocal about it.
He went on, insisting that he doesn’t want to take ownership of something bad that might come up from the person he might be advocating for people to consider as their leader.
“I dunno why it’s such a big deal to some Nigerians that I’ve not been vocal about the elections. Personally, I don’t have a candidate in my life because I don’t want to make you vote and then blame me when the person f***s up as usual.”
Burna Boy went ahead, sharing a screenshot of a fan who was trying to make him understand something that the artist wasn’t interested and went on dismissing the fan telling him to look elsewhere if he was looking for someone to help him decide whom to vote in.
He lastly clarified his stand on his income and his stand as a person.
“I’ve never made money from any Nigerian government and I never took any house, Land or money from any governor I’ve never been appointed into any public office and I never intended to be….. All the good I do for my country comes from my heart it’s not for social media validation, and it’s not definitely because I owe anybody….make everybody getat”
