Brighton striker Danny Welbeck scored the opener against his former club before Amad Diallo drew United level in the second half, and the game looked destined for a draw until the dying minutes.

It was Welbeck’s 100th career goal in club football and his sixth against United, the club he spent his formative years at and even won the Premier League title with in 2012–13.

Manchester had golden chances to take the lead but failed to do so, VAR also intervened to disallow their 70th-minute effort and frustrate Erik ten Hag’s side making the fight even hard.

Brighton have got 6 points in the Premier league after winning against Manchester United, this actually marks the first defeat for Manchester united in the new season.

Brighton are currently leading the table whereas Manchester United has been pushed to the ninth position in the premier league table with 3 points.
