Kenyan Artist Brandy Maina has responded to critics in her inbox following what she said about collaborating with Kenyan Artists.
Brandy Maina has responded through her status saying that this country doesn’t deserve creatives, adding that it’s in her prayers that everyone changes for the better good.
“This Country doesn’t deserve creatives. I pray we all leave this toxicity. So happy for Majimbo… Damn! God, please open my doors, This can’t be my home forever. It be your own that kill you.”
This comes after Brandy Maina said that she will no longer be doing any more interviews and shortlisted artists she might want to work with.
“Unless it’s Nyash, Kinoti, Watendawili, Femi or Fathermoh, I’m not doing any more collaborations this year. Leave me out of interviews as well.”
This tweet sparkled a lot of conversations online, some disappointed with her stand s as she is clearly discriminating other artists while some supported her saying that it’s right so that other artists sacrifice and work hard to get to her level and earn their right to do collaborations with her.
Brandy Maina made her breakthrough with ‘Kuna kuna song that has over 15 million views on YouTube which she did alongside Fathermore, Savara and Vic west.
