SautiSol lead singer Bien has shared his thoughts as per the LGBTQ that is being opposed in Kenya.
Sauti Sol said this through a video call while he was in London disclosing that he supports the LGBTQ community and added that the public has no mandate to judge them.
He went on saying that Kenyans are forgetting the elephant in the room and shifting their focus to things that will not bring food to their table.
“Mi nasupport LGBTQ sana. Mi nasupport watu kufanya kenye wanataka expression yao. Hio Kenya shida zetu ni njaa, shida zetu ni economic empowerment….. There are so many problems that come before this LGBTQ issue lakini I feel like the government is using this to hoodwink you guys and remove your attention from the things that actually matter.”
This comes after the Supreme Court had ruled in favor of the LGBTQ Communities, something that has sparkled conversations online.
In other words, the Court allowed the LGBTQ Communities to form associations, although the President of Kenya William Samoei Ruto dismissed this ruling saying that Kenya is a Country that respects its religions therefore will not allow the same-sex marriages in the country.
He was also backed up by his deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, who said that it’s very wrong to condone such behavior.
