Kenyan artist Bien Aime Baraza has reacted to Otile Brown’s claims, saying that there are no international artists in Kenya.
Bien, who was on Obinna TV, asked Otile Brown to consider rethinking his words because there are many notable Kenyan artists that are not just doing well musically but also overthrowing the international artists he is talking about.
“It pisses me off a bit when Otile says that because people are busy building, and I can understand when he says that because he has never been to the other side.
Who is Sofia Nzau to you? Have you never heard of Mwaki? It has 100 million views on Spotify, and she even performed in South Africa. Is she not an international artist? We’ve heard international artists in the past as well. The biggest Swahili song is ‘Jambo Bwana’; it was sung years ago.” Bien explained.

Why Bien believes He is on another level
According to Bien, Otile is projecting what he feels, and he cannot be compared to him, because what he has done is way more than him.
“I’ve been on tour the whole year outside the country; I’ve played in Kenya once this year; I’ve played over 20 shows… I’ve been touring and selling out everywhere. I’ve been to places in Europe and Australia, so I don’t know what Otile defines as an international artist. Maybe the success of the people he had buyers is what he has not reached, and so he wants that to be the definite marker.”
Otile Brown clapped back at Bien’s words, saying that he remains unshaken despite the hate coming from him, as he considers himself on top.
