Kenyan musician Kevin Bahati has comforted his wife and assured her that he is together with her, no matter what the public says about her and them.
He shared a thread on his page congratulating his wife, reminding her how great she is, and promising to see her when he immediately returns to Nairobi.
“Dear Diana ❤️
I know you’ve been in the headlines, and I know it really doesn’t bother you, but I thought I should remind you of one thing before you go to sleep: You are a star! I wish I would have been there to tell you this face-to-face, but I’m out of town for a business meeting; I’m coming back to Nairobi tomorrow.”
Bahati goes on telling his wife that she is a rare gem and loved by many, and the public sentiments directed at her to break her and their family can’t prevail. Adding that challenges are part of life, he apologized on a light note for putting her face to the world, even though he said that she should look on the bright side, which is what she has gained from being among the most subscribed female artists in Kenya, surpassing many other colleagues.
“My wife, you’re loved by many, you inspire many, and you’re followed by many, and with that, darling, you can’t miss out on hate. No lie, you’ve overtaken many ever since I did the first post to introduce you to the world as “My Prayer Partner”.
At times, I feel sorry and regret forcing you into the limelight. At times, I want to ask you for forgiveness for exposing you to this ruthless side of the world, but looking at things, Babe, this was God’s plan. You were created for this! Look at your numbers! You came just the other day, and you’re now the most subscribed and followed YouTube content creator in East Africa. You have the whole army of #TeamDiana and #TeamBahati behind you. I might not say this enough times, but I’m a proud husband. I’m happy to call you wifey.”
Bahati proudly describes himself as a good husband and one who is privileged to have Diana, and he finished his statement by telling his wife that he can’t wait to marry her as their wedding plans are almost complete.
“I can’t wait to take over the world with you; yeeesss, our wedding plans are 70% done, and I just can’t wait to marry you. I love you, @Diana_Marua.”
Apparently, what happened is that the duo (Bahati and Diana) had posted a family photo that had all their children and them in it wishing their young son Majesty Bahati a happy birthday when things took a turn around from the public that started to troll Diana Bahati from the way she was dressing to telling her that those kids weren’t Bahati’s as they went and photoshopped the picture adding faces of other people that they felt looked like the children, claiming that those are the real fathers of the children she has.
This generated mixed reactions from different people online, including Kenyan artist Akothee, who disapproved of this and told the haters to mind their own business. Next in line was footballer Victor Wanyama, who has always been picked up and referred to as Morgan’s father, who responded by saying that “This madness needs to stop!”.
