Kenyan artist Kevin Kioko Bahati has shared the reason why their anticipated wedding did not take place last year as promised.
Speaking to his wife Diana Marua in a sit-down session they had answering their fans’s questions, he said his plans were disrupted by his wife Diana, who said that she had more important things to attend to on her grand wedding day and opted for another day.
“Mimi nilisha set date 12th December akaniambia niko na a lot am doing….. a lot is happening on that day watu watakua sherehe. Then nikachange to 1st of April, akasema hawezi juu itaonekana marriage yangu ni ya uongo.” Bahati explained.

Bahati, without hesitation, shifted the day to April 1st, but Diana again turned it down, saying she wouldn’t be married on that day because it is ‘Fools Day.
“Nani anaeza taka kuolewa 1st of April; pick another date as all my reasons are valid. Not me; I am not a fool.” Diana Bahati defended herself.
The same question lingered amongst them, being propelled by Diana asking her husband if he indeed wanted to marry her or not because he was always suggesting times when she was held up.
However, after a heated argument, they agreed that they would have to hold a proposal dinner date so that they could make a clear announcement once again.
“Babe, you see, when it comes to something like a wedding, it is very intimate, and even your approach to me should be very genuine and from the heart.
It should be an announcement, tryna make it special, take me out for dinner, make sure I am well-dressed and have make-up all the romance in it, and then do like a proposal date of ‘Hunnie’ I would like to marry you on this date’ I say yes or no,” Diana shared.
