Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati was on Sunday gazette by the IEBC as one of the candidates to run for Mathare’s MP seat in the incoming August elections.
Speaking in an interview carried during Mashmwana’s album launch the, now gazette Mathare Mp aspirant said that, what was going on was just propaganda and mentioned that nothing could stop him at this point.
“That was just propaganda,” said Bahati.
After which Bahati thanked Kenyans for offering him his support and urged Kenyans to vote for Him and presidential aspirant Raila, however, advised Kenyans to consider Senatorial aspirant Margret Wanjiru but not Sifuna.
The gospel artist later announced on his Instagram pages while showing off his name listed on the Kenyan Gazette, upon which he wrote,
“When Jesus says yes… Nobody can say no! I have been the most fought MP candidate; my losing opponent tried everything to threaten me and make sure I step down… But look at what God has done!!! Its official IEBC has to gazette me,” wrote Bahati.
Bahati’s race has caused wrangles in the Jubilee-Azimio seat after the ODM’s secretary-general, Sifuna had earlier announced Bahati’s step down to drop his candidature to one Mr.Oluoch.
This comes after Bahati, claimed he was offered cash of up to Sh50 million to drop his race in favour of ODM’s candidate Anthony Oluoch.
