Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has responded to a Nairobi woman who made headlines by tattooing his face on her body. The woman, deeply enamoured with the lawmaker, has inked his image twice—once on her chest and once on her arm—spending a total of KSh 13,500 on the tattoos.
The lady, who has become a local sensation, proudly displays her tattoos, describing Babu Owino as her “husband” despite having never met him. She shared that the tattoo on her chest cost KSh 3,500, while the larger tattoo on her arm set her back KSh 10,000.
Her devotion is so intense that she begins each day by washing Babu’s face tattoo and applying oil to it, ensuring its preservation. “I just want to greet him. That would be enough. I think if I see him, I’ll go crazy,” she said in an interview with Sauti TV.
