Babu Owino shared the reason through his social media page, saying that the reason behind halting the activity is because the land that the governor was using in constructing apartments had been grabbed and isn’t rightfully supposed to be used as it is.

“DCI has stopped the construction of Sakaja’s apartments located at the junction between Fida Road and Kamiti Road as investigations are still ongoing.

The land in question is a public property meant for the construction of a hospital and has been grabbed by Sakaja.” Babu Owino’s statement read:

The Embakasi Member of Parliament hinted that it is a scenario, or rather situation, that is raising questions from a top government leader in office, adding that more is yet to be uncovered and the real Sakaja will be shown to the world.

The Nairobi Governor is yet to respond to such allegations from the Embakasi MP and answer before the DCI, who have stopped what he had initiated.

There have been heated arguments between these two, Hon. Babu Owino and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, over a number of issues ever since the governor was rated as the most underperforming governor in all the counties in the country. Something that raised a lot of questions.
