AZIMIO LEADERS TEARGASSED WHILE ON THEIR WAY TO STATEHOUSE.

Published on

Azimio leaders have been teargassed while on their way to present a petition file to statehouse.

Among the leaders who were marching to statehouse were Babu Owino, Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna and others whose intentions were cut short even before they could say what their petition was about.

The Azimio Coalition leader had earlier announced that Protests will be held two times which is on Tuesday and Thursday and will not relent until their demands are met

However, the President William Ruto together with his Deputy had advised them that they should do it peacefully if they must and refrain from destroying public property. Something that the Azimio leader replied before saying that they normally do it so it’s only the police men or rather GSU who provoke people to fight back by keeping them in one place rather than letting them be free.

The Deputy President has however told the Azimio leader that they will not have an handshake and should accept results.

The Kenya Kwanza Government however during doing their rounds and addressing the public they dismissed the Azimio leader demands which he wishes to be fulfilled amongst them being opening the servers and stop recruiting new IEBC Officials.

He however promised the public that he will bring the cost of living down as this is a process that will take time.

The Azimio fleet is on transit and we await to see their next stop over.
