Autopsy reveals 12 year old boy shot in Ongata Rongai suffered excessive bleeding from shot wounds

A young boy’s death in Ongata Rongai has been confirmed by autopsy. The 12-year-old, described by his family as a talented artist, reportedly died from excessive bleeding caused by a gunshot wound.

Dr. Peter Ndegwa, a government pathologist, conducted the autopsy on July 1st. He revealed the bullet pierced the boy’s arteries and lungs, leading to fatal blood loss. The family is demanding justice and urging the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) to investigate the incident.

President Ruto was asked whether justice will be served for the boy.,

“On the 12-year-old shot with eight bullets, I am telling the mother of this young person that as president, I will make sure that I give her an explanation of what really happened. I will make sure that we bring this to a situation where, like myself who has children, her child can be accounted for.”

The boy’s mother expressed grief and outrage. She disputed President Ruto’s previous statement questioning the boy’s death and called for the officer responsible to be held accountable.

Reports indicate the boy was shot while on his way to a friend’s house. The friend, unaware of the tragedy, waited for him for hours before learning of his death.

This incident has sparked calls for a swift and thorough investigation by IPOA to determine who fired the fatal shot and ensure justice is served.
