Atheists in Kenyan society have called on the Kenya Kwanza government to implement a one-child policy.
Earlier today, they shared a press statement explaining why they want the government to implement the act. According to the association, they want the public to do so so that they control the high rate of population in the country, adding that the idea will see that there are quite a number of positive impacts on the upcoming future generations, especially in terms of how they can relate and live, let alone relating well economically.
This will also help to prevent instances or situations where there’s a child suffering from hunger because their family cannot cater for her or his needs.
Blaming the lack of birth control as the main reason why the country is experiencing economic hardships and cultural backwardness
“Kenya is facing a youth bulge. 75% of the Kenyan population is under 35 years old. Youth unemployment in Kenya is currently as high as 35%. Studies also indicate that Kenya has one of the highest rates of children born out of wedlock in Africa.
We urge President Ruto’s government to implement a one-child policy to control the population in Kenya. A once-child policy will provide many advantages for future generations, both socially and economically.”
According to them, the only thing that will combat poverty in Kenya and ensure that there are enough opportunities for every person in the country is definitely birth control.
For starters, atheists are non-believers, people who don’t believe in the existence of God or any other gods.
