The horrific incident at Mukuru kwa Njenga is still topping the charts as more and more bodies continue to be discovered with each passing day.
The reported dumpsite is now a pool full of not just bodies but body parts of humans.
Residents’ reactions
The residents of the area continue to complain about their security, adding that they’re not feeling safe after the recovery.
They claim that the police are not sharing the exact number of bodies discovered in the dumpsite for public safety.
They further ugred the police not to shoot teargas at them for flocking the site to see the bodies being retrieved.
Adding salt to injury, there’s a police station just near the dumpsite, which makes it quite ironical that they’ve never had a suspect.
However, police inspector general Douglas Kanja demanded the transfer of the police officers at that station.

DCI’s statement
The president recently urged the DCI to hasten their investigation(s) of the incident.
The Director of Criminal Investigations, Mohamed Amin, is now set to give a national address today following the arrest of a prime suspect linked to the gruesome murders in Kware, Mukuru Slums.
The DCI boss is expected to shed light on the suspect’s potential involvement in the killings and outline the details of the arrest. Amin will also provide an update on the ongoing investigation, which was launched after the disturbing discovery was made following a tip from a woman who had a dream about the location.
Since the initial discovery of nine bodies on July 12, authorities have recovered five additional packages, two of which contained animal carcasses. The mutilated remains were transported to the City Mortuary for identification and further examination.
The arrest of a suspect in Kayole today marked a significant development in the case. Police tracked the suspect through financial transactions linked to the victims. To date, two women aged between 18 and 30 have been identified among the victims.
As investigations continue, authorities are considering the possibility of a cult connection to the murders.
