Anerlisa Muigai has found herself questioning whether she has real friends or not.
This comes after a screenshot from her ‘enclosed’ girls Whatsapp group emerged online – exposing her private text where she had asked her friends to help contribute for her fiancé’s bail money.
As seen on the post, Anerlisa Muigai pleaded with her friends to help out wherever they could as she needed 3million after the court raised her fiance’s bail from KSh1 million to KSh3 million.

According to Anerlisa her fiance Joe Kariuki, the CEO of SBL, was unlawfully detained after his company was linked to the viral fake fertilizer scandal.
On the text, Anerlisa Muigai insists her fiance is a victim targeted by his competitors, aiming to bring down his business. However thanks to his friends, KSh1.8 million had already been raised by his friends which is why she entrusted her friends to step in….only to be betrayed.
Anerlisa claps back
With the screenshot making rounds on social media, the Keroche Breweries heiress responded by confirming it was not photoshopped; however went on to add that this was another life lesson for her not to trust everyone around her.
When you thought you had real friends then boom, a blogger sends you a screenshot from a very enclosed group. Tomorrow could be you. Anerlisa Muiagi wrote, adding:
Atleast I now I cannot count on everyone and thats okay. And yes, we managed to get out without your help, we good. She went on
This is however not the first time the Muigai family name are linked to the fake fertilizer scandal.
A while back Anerlisa’s mum, Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja, was among those exposed by John Allan Namu for allegedly having a hand in the scandal regarding fake fertilizers in the country.
