Speaking during an interview with the press just after he had landed in Kenya where he is on his tour, He said that for him, he doesn’t entertain dramas whether good or bad, reason as to why he is able to have the consistency in what he is doing, especially in the music field.

According to him, he works with the slogan that ‘If you can’t solve it, then leave it’.

He also spoke about the idea of Bongo flava being added to the 66th Grammy awards, saying that the only thing that has always let them down is the quality of the music, but as for now they have promised that they will always deliver and thanked the producers who are working tirelessly to ensure that the music is in the right form that can be streamed and played worldwide.

The Recording Academy announced an additional “Best African Music Performance” category in the 66th Grammy Awards.

The category is solely dedicated to African music from all parts of the continent. Some of the genres include Tanzania’s Bongo Flava, Kenya’s Genge, Afrobeat, Afro-fusion, Afro-Pop, Alte, , Afro-House, South African Hip-Hop, and Ethio Jazz.

An addition of Bongo Flava to the list is a complete lifetime opportunity to all the African artists to keep up the good work and encouragement that whatever they are doing is good and they should keep propelling it.

Now the likes of Alikiba, and other bongo artists will have a chance to compete in this Grammy competition hoping to take it home after being forgotten for quite some time.
