Alex Mwakideu has been friends with Jalng’o for years now and although their friendship started off after landing a radio gig together; the two have since become more of brothers than friends building each other up.

Unlike most friends who are in a relationship for the fun of it, these two are rumored to have joint businesses and go far as being close family friends hence the reason why they remain close despite having gone separate ways career wise.

With that said, Alex Mwakideu recently opened up to reveal the reason he finally quit alcohol after years of partaking it. According to Mwakideu, this would have not been possible if not for his friend Jalang’o.

I quit drinking in 2019. It was the time we were taking Jalang’o for the introduction of his wife. I had taken a lot of alcohol. I wanted to monitor my drinking habits, so I used not to share my alcohol. I was not an extreme drinker. That day I overslept and woke up at noon. On checking the WhatsApp group, everyone was already at the event and properly dressed. I rushed to the event since I was the one speaking on behalf of friends, Mwakideu narrated.

After the event, everyone took out their alcohol. I also removed mine, looked at it, and said I was done with alcohol. Since that time, I decided to quit alcohol.

Failed marriage?

Having heard claims that he quit alcohol following the many problems facing his marriage, Mwakideu brushed off these rumors adding;

I was not fired, and I did not mess up my marriage, but it was a decision I made.
