Popular Kenyan entrepreneur and social media personality Cebbie Koks Nyasego has finally confirmed that her marriage to flashy city lawyer Steve Ogolla has ended.

In a recent social media challenge, Cebbie revealed that she had experienced an emotional setback but has since healed from the experience. She humorously added that she’s now ready to take on another relationship, even hinting at a preference for Luo men.
The confirmation of the split comes after months of speculation online. The couple had tied the knot in a lavish traditional wedding in 2022, and Steve had showered Cebbie with gifts, including a new car and cows for her parents. However, a few months later, Cebbie cleared her social media pages of any traces of her husband, sparking rumors of trouble in their marriage.
While neither Cebbie nor Steve had publicly addressed the separation before, Cebbie had previously hinted at the split with a cryptic post that read;
“You remember I said I was taken, well, they have returned me.”
Cebbie’s preference in marriage
Despite being married to the distinguished lawyer and political analyst since December 2022, Cebbie revealed that she would prefer to lead a private life if given the chance.
“Given a chance, I would not want to be out there. I would also not want to be famous. Social media is not a safe space for everyone and it can also reveal the ugly edge in your marriage. I wish my marriage is not out there. Given a chance, I would keep it private because people look out for the bad things that can happen and pray over it and even make it a subject of discussion. There is a way blogs twist things. I know the pain and the joy of public life. But I will still post the good things about marriage,” she shared.
Unlike Akothee, Cebbie hasn’t been sharing much on social media about her love life.
