Akothee in mourning

Singer Akothee is currently in mourning following the untimely demise of her grandmother.

The singer announced this through her social media pages in a detailed post where she celebrated the life her grandmother lived.

According to Akothee, her relationship with her step grandmother had always been close until the time of her death.

Having been close to her late grandfather, this paved way for a good relationship between Akothee and her step grandmother who often spent time together during her visits to the village.

My step-grandmother, a woman of few words, was always present at home. Though sometimes I missed my grandmother during my visits, I knew someone would be there to receive my shopping if she had gone to her SDA calls. Ajuang, her companion, had grown close to her after the passing of their husband, James OGENDI Oyieko. Akothee wrote.

Akothee remembers grandmother

Although Akothee did not share much about the said grandmother, the singer made it known that she did indeed loved her.

To prove this, the mother of 5 says she is yet to come into terms with the loss, as she finds it hard to talk about the sudden demise she never saw coming.

When her death was conveyed to me, I found myself unable to discuss it with anyone, not even my mother. I simply showed up at the funeral, paying my respects.
