Kenyan artist commonly known for his fluent Swahii words ‘Mzee wa Matulinga’ Stevo Simpleboy has shared the reason why he will not accept to do a collaborative rack featuring Oga Obinna.
Through a brief interview with him in the office, Stevo opened up, saying that he will not work with Obinna because he is still down and not capable of making it to his level, but he can, however, give him one of his own established artists.
“Upande wa kazi tunaeza saidiana lakini uimbaji bado ako chini kidogo hana talanta anajaribu.” Stevo said.
In as much as he recognized Obinna’s efforts of trying to do music, having released a track weeks ago that has over 700,000 views and counting on YouTube, which is a big path in the back, he disagreed with the idea of working with him, saying he still needs to work on his lines and shouldn’t just go record music because he feels he can. “Huwezi sema aty uko na mistari alafu unaingia studio, lazima ufanye mazoezi upatie mafans wako wakukosoe kidogo alafu uingie studio ufanye vizuri.”

Stevo went further, explaining that he is on another level because he does hip-hop, which is a different kind of genre that is only done by skilled artists who understand the craft well, unlike Obinna, who is doing something else according to him.
Stevo recently called out Obinna, accusing him of having bought views in his recent song ‘Namposti’ that he has featured Dem Wa Facebook, dismissing the idea that he marketed it well.
